From the summit of Muntii Gutai at 1,443 m, we could see across endless forests and rolling mountains to the horizon in every direction. We couldn't see the human-drawn border down there. But this was the edge of peace. We stood in Romania. Just over there to the north was Ukraine - a country at war where bombs were going off. That didn't make much sense. It only made sense that the Earth was stunningly beautiful.
It was 30th May. Spring foliage was still soft and sunlit green. I had been woken at dawn, in an old travelling van I slept in, by a rooster crowing. This was nothing unusual here - a mediaeval part of northern Transylvania, in the sparsely populated Eastern Carpathian Mountains, where most of the locals produce their own food and make everything exquisitely out of wood. But it was poignant knowing that the rooster represented the end of darkness... And our job today was to bring Light by climbing a remote two-pronged mountain to speak out peace messages sent by over a hundred warm-hearted friends to help contribute peace energy to this war-torn part of the world... and beyond.
From our small group visiting Romania there was to be two of us climbing. - myself and Basil, my lovely neighbour in the UK, who has a house here in the little village of Breb.
The group had already spoken out Peace Messages across the small strip of no-man's land on the actual Ukraine border.
Today Basil and I had set off, hearts full with the intention of holding energy for peace. Up through thick beech and oak forests accompanied by melodious calls of the chaffinch, expressing joy and hope. He was still our guide as the landscape opened out to grassland edging vast swathes of spruce forest. We'd been told to watch out for dangerous sheep dogs, sudden brown bears, howling wolves, illusive lynx and unpredictable wild boars. But though we saw pig diggings and sensed we were being watched from silent eyes in the forest, the most dangerous beasts we saw were energetic newts swimming in puddles!
We met only one other person all day - a runner, early on, who gave us the lovely local greeting which translates as "Blessings on your work". It was as though we had thousands of square miles to ourselves.
After a few hours the track steepened...
And we scrambled up towards the first dramatic summit, known suitably as Creasta Cocosului or the Rooster's Crest.
There were many friends in the UK planning to tune in with us when we read out the Peace Messages. I had randomly said "make it midday." And it so happened it was exactly midday, UK time, as we perched precariously on the rocks of the Rooster's Crest and sent out the first lot of Messages.
We could see far across Ukraine. There was an awesome power surrounding us. Here was an etheric retreat of ascended masters, headed by St Germain, keeper of the violet flame - a spiritual flame used for cleansing.
Invoking this flame, I asked "May humanity let go of all that doesn't serve it's highest good". And felt enveloped in strength, knowing this was the right place and the right time.
Hungrily, we devoured fried cheese pancakes, then followed the crater ridge of this ancient volcano we were on, from one peak to the next, far seeing on either side, for a while lost in dense blueberry and juniper shrubs that we had to strenuously push our way through. I smiled to myself remembering the Tibetan belief that juniper is purifying and aids attaining higher consciousness.
A gentle breeze greeted us at the summit - a perfect rock-solid stance for our work.
Finding a protected hollow on a ledge, we laid the crystal grid and sprinkled it with special water we'd carried up.
And spoke out the Peace Messages... welcoming the Light.
As the crystal grid activated there was an explosion of Light which set off in bands of cloud towards Ukraine and Russia and on around to every single part of the globe.
It had been a uniquely dry but grey day in a rainy week. Now suddenly the sun came out and bright Light shone everywhere. We basked in the warmth.
The soft refrains of Basil playing his locally-carved flute added to the intense beauty
There was a deep and powerful stillness.
Peace
Thank you mountain spirit...
Two days later some cleansing came in the form of violent thunder storms and deluges which changed the tracks of the village into rivers and swept through some of the houses. I had to wade through raging flood waters to reach my bed!
After cleansing comes peace. Let us each continue to add to the energy of peace every day with our thoughts.
Change energy...
A big thank you to all who warmly sent Peace Messages and positive thoughts
Some of the Peace Messages:
“...you cannot hope to solve any problem using the same energy that created the problem. Whether it's the endless wars in the world or the unending quarrels and fighting in your own home, the problem is the same: conflicting energy. If you want to change the outcome, change the energy. The extraordinary aspect of this solution is that you do not have to wait for the other party in order to do it.” (Neale Donald Walsch) ....Send out Love... THINK PEACE
Change the energy...
